Interesting... The brac.gov site lists that NJ did not get eagles.

NJ lost their Block 25s and got big mouth Block 30s from Terre Haute.

Still getting some issues with the 'hiring' page and some issues with individual pages.
I did a test run on the 926 FW page, so disregard any info you find on it!
Findings:
-Inputing a date for a board or deadline that is already past left a blank in the 'next board date/application date' box. I was able to input a (fictitious) date of Aug 31 into the board deadline date, and that updated correctly. (This is good, and probably intended.)
-Additionally, I input another date of Aug 30, and updated the board dates window, but NOT the overall 'Update This Information!' Instead, I clicked 'Cancel.' I found that the page didn't update immediately, but after leaving the page and coming back, Aug 30 was the new date. The weird thing was that the 'Cancel' had acted as if logging me out.
-Lastly, if you changed the date and do NOT 'Update' the date tab before switching to another tab, your new date will NOT be saved when you 'Update This Information!' (Again, probably intended, but was initially confusing which button to click for the update.)
The hiring page (table) is not immediately reflecting these changes. It may not ever, I just haven't seen it updated at the time of this writing. I don't know if that is because this unit was scheduled to be closed by BRAC, as the unit page says, or whether that is a hiring page bug.
I'm sorry if I incurred any TPP points while figuring this out, but it should be helpful to the users and administrators. |

Sweet troubleshooting. Don't worry about the TPP while troubleshooting...it's all good.
I've added a couple of things myself. Each time somebody updates a unit the subscribers of the Guard/Reserve Notifications list are supposed to get one email per unit per day. So if one unit's page is updated three times in a day the subscribers only get one email for that unit.
I'm not getting these emails and I'm a subscriber. |

I have just one of these emails dated Aug 17.
"Subj: 174FW (Air National Guard) page was updated
Message: 174FW (Air National Guard) page was updated. To view, please Click Here"
So far that's the only one I got. I figured that when I was updating a page, an email wouldn't be sent to me, but I don't know if others have been updating pages. |

| Yeah I got that one too. The email we should be getting for each unit that is updated (limited to one email per unit per day) is formatted differently and has a quick "unsubscribe" link so people can quickly unsubscribe from the notifications if they choose. We'll get this worked out. |

I've gotten four since August 15 in addition to a Board/App Date Expiration notification. The email I get is exactly how L Unit has described it above.

Looks like the Guard/Reserve notification emails are going out....they're just not saying the right thing.
Same with the board expiration emails....going out but the text isn't quite what it's supposed to be.

I changed the 104 FS additional info. Someone put up a wikipedia link to the 104 FW. I tried to erase the info, but the pages are still not changing immediately, so I don't know if it took hold.
I'm having trouble identifying what information is new or updated when I get a notification. I saw that the 104 FS page was updated, but I don't know which section was recently changed, so most of the information is still no good to me. Is the contact info 3 years old? Mailing address correct? Does the unit still have it planes/exist? (The 102 FW doesn't exist any more. . .) Maybe a table with the history of changes to the page - what was changed, when it was changed, and who changed it. People with conflicting information or questions can contact each other directly, to work out who has the most recent/accurate information. |

Yeah I'm showing it's still in there..so it doesn't look like the change went through plus I don't think you got TPP for it. As long as you're logged in you should see the newest info. If you're logged out you may only see a cached version.

I'll play around with the update again. I might try changing the text to just a space instead of leaving the field completely blank.
EDIT: I had to enter text to get the change. A single space did not work. |

I recently got picked up, so I'll only be adding info that I didn't have to work to find. I will, however, volunteer my time to troubleshoot any new or tweaked features. Just give a heads up on here and I'll go try to break something check for functionality. |
