Hi everyone,
Its that time again! 4th time is the charm right?!?! I just spoke with Mr. Peterson today and found out that the Board Announcement will be released 12 June. So, here are my stats for this round of the board.
I don't think these numbers will change. I will update if they do.
Post your stats here and we'll get the ball rolling for the rest of the year.
AFOQT Pilot: 94
PCSM: 97
Flight Hours: 229
Commercial Multi Instrument Airplane
LORs: Hopefully 2 -- working w/ the execs now. I'll post more when they become more official.

New on here fellows, does anyone know what the possibility is for an already commissioned officer in another service applying for the AD pilot board. What are my chances here? Should I just go the Reserve way and forget about it. Thanks Cave |

What's up Cave. I'm assuming you're not a pilot in the other branch
(if you were a pilot the transfer would certainly be doable). I've never
heard of anybody going from another service as a non-flyer and picking up an
active duty allocation for flight training. Doesn't mean it doesn't happen
but my guess is it probably doesn't.

| Thanks for the reply. I am not a flyer. I am actually just working on my PPL(an hour at a time). I just want to fly. AD would be great, but Reserve/Guard is equally fantastic. I will be hanging around here to get more info. |

| Quick update. I called Mr. Peterson today to ask about the release of the Announcement and he told me that AF/A1 is still reviewing and would not give me an expected time frame. If anyone sees it let me know. Later All! |

All right guys, I need some help. I am starting to refresh my 215 and came across something problematic. On the back of the 215 the first comment block is for "Immediate Commander" and the second is for "Endorsement for Active Duty (not to exceed senior rater)" Well, i'm the Exec for the Wing Commander, who is my immediate commander and my senior rater So, if i put his comments in the first block then the second block would be filled out by his Boss Lt Gen Hudson ASC Commander, but the 3 star exceedes senior rater!!!This is irritating, and confusing. Can any one shed some light on this?
UPDATE: Spoke with Mr. Peterson and he informed me that my Boss the Wing Commander will sign in the Immediate Supervisor block and it is acceptable for Lt Gen Hudson to sign in the endorsement for Active Duty block!!! I am that my 215 will be signed by a 3 STAR! |

I'm up, counting down to 13 January. I'll be setting up for a second shot this year as an active duty navigator. PCSM-99, 89 Pilot, 3.3 GPA, 260 hours w/ multi/comm/instrument, #1 strat if all goes well. Good luck to everyone who lives for this! |

| Did Professional Aviation @ LA Tech Univ. - then to Nav school, then to tankers thinking it would get me to UPT quicker and it kind of backfired. If you Nav to-be's out there are still hearing that Tankers will get you to UPT quicker then advise your advisor that they have been ill-advised. Trackin? John-O, congrats on the 3-star leverage - hope it works out for you. |

| I talked to Mr. Peterson the other day, and he said that there will be roughly 50, possibly 55 slots. They will not know definite numbers until the board date draws near. I'm applying for the first time this year as well. |
