My understanding is it is required for everybody at this time. Used to not be. Now it is.

That is my understanding also, but I was wondering if there is a reg or AFI or something that says that. If I can skip that 6 weeks I am 6 weeks closer to UPT!!!

I have gotten mixed answers on this. I saw an email going around the stated that everyone with go PPL or not period, dot. However, the last 3 dudes that got slots at my base did not have to go. Not sure if someone has some kinda pull which allows these guys to bypass that or what but from what it seems it is not mandatory to go to IFS. FYI, each of these guys did have a at least a PPL.
