The information above was gathered using our UPT Track/Drop Feed.  If you want to see all the info (the feed above only shows the two most recent track/drops) or if you want to add class track/drop info, see charts displaying what UPT bases get what aircraft, or edit existing info please visit our UPT Track/Drop page.  You can also share this information above on other forums or webpages using our Track/Drop Feed with one line of code posted into a forum post or webpage and it will stay updated automatically with the latest info.  Click here to visit our UPT Track/Drop page.

I've received many questions both on this website and in person about the kind of drops going on around the Air Force.  For example, how many T-38s or T-1s got assigned?  What's the trend with UAV assignments?  How many AFSOC slots are going out?  I've looked around and I can't seem to find a place where all of this information is together, so this thread will be that place.  If you're stationed at a UPT base, and you have any info on the latest drops, please post them here.  If you have information on where drops/assignments can be found, please post it in this thread.  Eventually, I hope we can create a database that tracks the drops and trends of Air Force aircraft assignments and post it so that everyone can see and have an idea of what to expect.  Please contribute what you can.

EDIT:  We have released our new Track Select / Assignment Drop page which allows for the graphical collection and display of this info.  The first version is up here: http://www.wantscheck.com/UPTPrep/UPTClassDropsTrackSelects/tabid/282/Default.aspx (just look under the UPT Prep menu).

Feel free to talk it up here and post drops/tracks but please also add the info to this new page too.

Also, if you know that one of the slots given out belonged to a guard member, please denote that as well.

It's been described to me as second gen U-28 by people in the know. I believe the 320 SOS flies it out of Cannon. Not much info out there on it. ------Original Message------ From: AviatorArea@wantscheck.org To: garrett.kohl@gmail.com Subject: RE: Pilot Drops and Assignments (137195eb-8ef6-4eb6-9073-ac8a36435dca) Sent: Jan 2, 2009 11:48 AM A new post was posted in a forum you were tracking. NSA is Non-Specified Aircraft. It's a mission that's run by AFSOC and involves infil/exfil, covert ops type of stuff. I've heard stories about pilots that fly around in civilian attire with no American identification on them and an M-9 strapped to their thigh. Pretty cool stuff. Other than the U-28, there are also RC-12s being given out.

For you Det 280 types, Miguel drops this Friday. I'll post his class' results.

Shep-Boyardee, where did you hear about the NSA guys wearin civvies and armed with M9s? I've actually heard that from hear-say, but never have confirmed it as true. Everytime I ask about NSA or U-28, I get the "it's classified, so all I can tell you is it's cool" stuff that's exciting as it is vague. FYI, The 320 SOS at Cannon flies NSA. Check out their unit's fact sheet (just google the unit) and it gives you a vague idea of what NSA is.

Hey guys, anyone ever thought of maybe making a page to see these kinda stats?  Have it divided up by base and track select or assignment. I'm fairly new but  I figure there are probably enough people on here to populate it fairly well.  I know I can get track select and assignment info from my casual job here at Columbus and i know people at Laughlin and Shep that are casual as well.  I can work on it as well with all the free time I have, just dont really know how.  It could be useful especially now a days to see how stuff is dropping being that its changing extremely fast with the NSA's and UAVs and such.

And more on topic

Columbus AFB

09-13 tracked on Wednesday Feb 11

3 T-44

3 Helo

2 T-38

9 T-1
