Just curious if anyone has any additional information about the new WSO/CSO/EWO pipeline. From what I have collected is all Navigator training is being moved to Pensacola and from there everyone goes through a single pipe line. At one point everyone puts in there dream sheet for the type of Nav they will become. Does anyone know what the syllabus looks like?

Also, IFS is going to be changed for CSO's where they are no longer going to be learning to pilot the Air Craft and they will be doing radio calls and basic navigator stuff. Just have a whole lot of questions about all the changes that are going on with this new program

I was just at IFS and the CSOs do have their own, different syallubus already.  I didn't look at it much as I was focused on the pilot program and trying to get the hell out of there with the dream intact.  They were doing a lot of V(visual)Nav routes on paths they were calling Nav Route Corridors.  They also don't solo and as far as piloting they said they were allowed to fly as much as they wanted up until the Nav Routes at which point they had to visually identify the nav route and direct the Pilot IP where to go.  Overall they have 2-3 less rides than the pilot candidates and seemed to graduate and bounce a few days ahead of the pilots.

Hope that helps as far as the IFS part.  Maybe a recent IFS CSO grad and comment on the accuracy of what I've offered here.

Nav School is still going strong at Randolph. I heard that the move will be taking place later on this year.

All good answers, Im at Randolph now about to graduate. PM me if you have any questions about the program. And as far as IFS I did the pilot syllubus since there wasnt a NAV one while i was there..so I might not be the best to ask on it..

I just got my dates for CSO school. report date is 21 APR 2010-12 APR 2011.... and IFS before that is 1 MAR2010-26 MAR2010..

That's good to know about CSO candidates at IFS, I thought everyone has the same syllabus..
