Well first off my name is Jason and I'd like to say hello to everyone on the board. I have a question about AFROTC cross-town agreements. I go to a kinda small school in Kentucky that only offers army ROTC and nothing else. The closest school that offers AFROTC is the University of Kentucky, about an hour away, but they do not have a cross-town agreement with my school, noone does. So, my question is, am I just out of luck about joining ROTC, or could I find a way to join UK's det. somehow without transferring colleges?

Thanks,

Jason

That would be tough but as long as you can make the drive you should be able to work something out. Contact the UK Det and ask them.

My advice, if you want to be in the Air Force.....transfer.

Alright thanks for the advice, I'm going to give them a call but I don't think that I will transfer because I really like the program that I am in

If you can't work something out there, I suggest you say screw ROTC and apply for OTS for when you graduate. Just know that obtaining an OTS slot is becoming increasingly more and more difficult as they are relying on it less and less as a commissioning source.
