Hello,

I have taken the AFOQT and recieved these scores:

Pilot - 62

Nav - 52

AA - 54

Verbal - 59

Quan - 48

I will have my Masters in Project Management in 2 months and hope to become an ABM when the board is finished with their review. I am just wondering if anyone knows if these scores are good enough to get me in? I've looked all over the internet and seen kids with 99s across the board. I had an undergraduate GPA of 3.0 and a graduate GPA of 3.6 so maybe I just don't test well. Anyways I am grateful for anyone who can give me some insight on my possible future.

Thank you

Cavan

Sorry if this is the wrong forum for this. I've never done this before.

Might have been better in the "what are my chances" thread in the Pilot Slot Quest folder, but I guess I canunderstand how you may not have looked there since your just shooting for ABM. I don't know how your scores would compare since I have a more firm grasp on the pilot competition. But since your not going for pilot, you scores definitely qualify you, and don't let others getting 99 get you down. These scores are only half the battle, what the rest of your package shows the board will help tremendously as well. Sorry I can't give you any more concrete advise than that.

Good luck though.

Thanks for the response. I have varsity sports and volunteer work throughout my college career, so maybe that will help me. I am going for active duty, does this help or hurt my chances compared with going for ANG?

If you're asking whether it will easier to get a Guard ABM slot versus an Active Duty ABM slot I think numbers will probably tell the tale. How many Guard units are there with ABMs and how many jets do they have? It's like not as many as the Active Duty side so I would imagine it's easier to get an Active Duty slot.
