I took my first AFOQT and TBAS back in March 09'. It didn't do as well as I wished so I am taking it again this month (Sept 09'). My test dates are Sept 4th for AFOQT and Sept 8th for the TBAS. I want to get my application in for the Sept 16th board. My concern is that I will recieve my test results in just enough time to mail off my completed application to the board to meet the deadline. My question is: does it matter when the application packet is sent off? For example, would an application that is sent off in early August have a higher priority than my application which is sent off a week before the deadline.

I am confused because I know the board will not begin reviewing applications until October 19th. So does this mean that all applications are thrown into the same "pile", and then later picked up and reviewed by the board? Or do the applications that are recieved early get put into a pile that is given special attention?

They should review all the files at the same time or at least give them all equal consideration no matter when they were received. It wouldn't make sense if I fedex'd mine and you sent yours USPS that I would get priority just because it got there sooner. As long as your application is there by the NLT (No Later Than) date that is all that should matter...

Also, don't send a hastily completed, ie not complete finished, application. Make sure its what you want it to be before you send it off
