I'm pretty much aceing the instrument comprehension part of the tests and taking no time to do it... on page 143 (if you type in the number in adobe its 153, but 143 on the numbered pages in the text) question number 13 in this exam:

http://www.learnatest.com/learningexpressebooks/download.cfm?b=1576854604&q=#search=4spatial4

isn't the answer on page 190 wrong?  Unless im losing my mind... isnt it heading at around 250 degrees or so... just south of west.... pitched slightly hard down.... and rolling slighly to the RIGHT... they say its rolling to the left and the answer is B... to me the heading in B is correct, the pitch is correct, but its rolling slightly to the left...

Am I losing my mind or did they make a mistake on this practice test? I could swear its rolling slightly to the right and not the left, the needle is left of the 0 mark and just looking at the plane sillohuette(sp) it seems clear its rolling to the right

thanks

I agree, but if you read the directions "Each item in this test consists of two dials and four silhouettes of aircraft in flight. Your task is to deter-
mine which of the four aircraft is closest to the position indicated by the two dials." You find that that is in fact the closest to the instruments: of the three things you can tell, A has 1, B has 2, C has 0 and D has 0. Hope that helps.

Unfortunately, while the argument for "Closest" is correct, the practice tests do sometimes get things wrong. I used 2 study guides, the Military Flight Aptitude Test by Barrons, and something about Military Officer Guide or something. The Flight book was very good and I noticed only about 4 times where their answer was just outright wrong. The other book had so many wrong answers and the math sections answer guide did such a terrible job of showing how to do the work.

So yes, choose the answer that is "Closest", but don't if the book is wrong, it's just wrong. Also know that the test has a more "3D" looking airplane.. so don't be surprised by the difference in design when you take it.
