Obviously, I'm new here. Please help me if you can.
After submitting his resume and flight hours to the pilot recruiter, my husband was told to take the AFOQT and get back to the pilot recruiter. Took the AFOQT, got the scores, made the call-oops, the recruiter has been deployed.
What do we do now? Nobody else at the base seems to know when the pilot boards will be (first vaguely told "in June"
. Never received any details as to when the slot would close, but the listing has been removed. Here are my questions:
1) Is the pilot recruiter typically on the pilot selection board? The impression has been given that this one is, wondering if that's correct.
2) Will they still hold the pilot boards without all their board members present?
3) Why would they tell him to take the AFOQT and submit it if the window had already closed?
4) Does he still have a chance for this go-round?
