I'm applying for the January 2010 board...from AD though...so not sure if this would be different if you're applying via OTS or ROTC. But, deadline for my package is November sometime, so I'm shooting to get it in early October.

It all depends on the release document that comes out sometime in August/September. The package due date is typically between 14-29 November, and the board meets at the beginning January. The results will be released in the middle of February. I recommend getting all of your ducks in a row as soon as possible, then tell your commander what your desires are.

So there's an AD rated board in January? I'm applying to the rated board in October with a release of November 23rd.. If I'm not picked up, will they roll my package into that board or the next one after that? I'm applying through OTS btw.

OK so that's a different board than us civies and I should just keep looking for the FY10 calendar for OTS boards.

Hacker, this last board had 40 pilot slots available to about 120 applicants. I am not sure how many NAV/ABM slots they were handing out.

My recruiter told me the documents were due sometime in September and the board met sometime at the end of December, giving results a few weeks later... Dont know if this is true or not, just what he told me.

I just received the memo announcing the FY10 active duty board. The board will be held on 12-15 January 2010. Packages are due to AFPC and updates to flying hours need to be completed by 28 October 09.
